We exist for one reason : to make it easier to find and to be found in the growing world of digital detox retreats. Not wellness tourism in general. Not yoga holidays. Not spa weekends with a « no phones at dinner » policy.
Specifically and only : places where the absence of screens is the point. Where the retreat is designed around disconnection, not just tolerant of it.
Our Mission
The internet makes it easy to find a hotel. It does not make it easy to find a venue where the absence of screens is the point, where the setting, the policy and the programme are built around disconnection, not just tolerant of it.
If you run digital detox retreats, you already know how long sourcing the right place can take.
That gap is what we exist to close. your-digitaldetox.com is a curated directory, not an algorithm, not a booking aggregator, where every listed venue has been chosen because it genuinely centres disconnection from screens.
On one side: organizers designing screen-free retreats and looking for the right place. On the other: the owners who built it. We connect them directly : no commission, no middlemen, no friction.
For organizers
Every venue on our platform has a genuine device-free policy as part of its programme, not a footnote, not a suggestion. Browse by destination, duration, or type. Contact venues directly.
For owners
We list retreat venues whose audience already understands the value of disconnection. No explaining what you do to general travellers. Flat annual fee, zero commission, done-for-you listing, direct contact with every guest.
Our standard
We would rather list fewer venues and list them well. Every retreat on the platform is reviewed before publication. We look for a genuine device-free ethos, not just a no-WiFi room tucked away from the main building.

For retreat organizers
Everything you want to know before booking the venue for your next retreat.
A wellness venue may offer spa, yoga or meditation with no particular stance on phones. A digital detox venue centres the absence of screens: an enforced or strongly guided device-free policy, no WiFi in communal areas, and a setting designed to redirect attention toward presence and nature. For the retreats you run, that distinction is everything : it’s the difference between participants who genuinely unplug and participants who check email forty times a day.
We review every venue before listing it, and what we look for is a device-free policy that is embedded in the programme, not a polite suggestion in the welcome pack. Most listed venues ask guests to store phones on arrival or restrict use to private rooms. A small number allow phones for genuine emergencies only. Each listing specifies the policy clearly so you know what to expect before you book. We do not list venues where a no-screens culture is implied but not enforced.
You contact venues directly : listing page, email or phone. We’re a directory, not a booking platform: no payments, no reservations, no commission. From your first message the relationship is yours, so you can discuss dates, group size, exclusive use, catering and your programme directly with the people running the venue.
Start with capacity and exclusivity : can the venue host your full group, ideally on an exclusive-use basis? Then setting: jungle, mountain, beach or countryside each create a different kind of quiet. Then logistics: accessibility, catering, indoor space for sessions, and the strength of the device-free policy. Browse our Destinations pages by country, or contact us for a shortlist tailored to your programme.
Many listed venues offer whole-venue or exclusive-use bookings, the most popular option for organizers, since it gives you full control over the schedule, the device policy and the atmosphere. Availability and minimum group sizes vary, so mention exclusive use when you reach out; most owners will quote you directly.
It varies widely : some of our most-enquired venues host 6–10 participants, others 30 or more. Most retreats are planned several months ahead, especially for peak seasons and exclusive use, though last-minute availability does come up. Each listing shows capacity; for dates and lead time, contact the owner directly.
Expect early discomfort, restlessness and an almost physical urge to check devices, that reliably passes within a day or two. After that, participants commonly report a slowing of perceived time, sharper awareness of their surroundings, easier sleep and a gradual return of sustained attention. Knowing this curve helps you design a programme that eases people through the adjustment phase rather than fighting it.
Not at all. Worth knowing when you market your own retreat. Participants range from people in genuine digital burnout to professionals wanting focused recovery time to people who simply want a holiday that feels like one. Research shows even moderate users see measurable gains in sleep, focus and stress after a sustained break. It’s maintenance, not treatment, which widens the audience you can sell to.
For venue owners
What retreat owners ask us most often before getting listed.
We list retreat venues that centre disconnection from screens as a genuine and enforced part of their offer. That includes eco-lodges, silent retreat centres, yoga and meditation venues with a clear device-free policy, wellness estates, and forest retreats. Size is not a criterion — some of our most-enquired listings accommodate fewer than 10 guests. What matters is the intent: if your programme is specifically designed around helping guests disconnect, you belong on this platform. If you are a general wellness venue with a ‘we encourage guests to switch off’ policy, we are probably not the right fit — and we will be honest with you about that upfront.
We charge a flat annual fee : €249 for a Basic listing, €399 for Premium. And nothing else. No commission on bookings, no per-enquiry charges, no percentage of revenue. A booking worth €10,000 earns you €10,000, regardless of how many guests found you through our platform. The fee covers your listing for 12 months, with full access to your dashboard to edit details, update availability, and respond to enquiries at any time.
Both plans give you full visibility to all platform visitors, direct contact with guests and organizers, and dashboard access. The practical differences are: publication speed (Premium within 24 hours; Basic within 25 days), placement (Premium appears on our homepage and Favorites page), in editorial blog posts, and are the venues we recommend first when organizers contact us directly). For venues in competitive destinations or with availability to fill quickly, Premium typically pays for itself within one booking.
Organizers contact you directly through your listing page, by email, or by phone, depending on the contact details you provide. We are not in your inbox, not CC’d on your correspondence, and not involved in your negotiations or agreements. The relationship between you and a potential organizer is entirely yours from the first message. This is a deliberate choice: retreat bookings are personal decisions that benefit from direct conversation, not platform messaging that adds a layer of friction and distance.
Yes, fully and at any time. Your dashboard gives you complete control over photos, description, pricing, availability, contact details, and programme information. You do not need to contact us to make changes — updates go live immediately. We ask only that you keep your listing accurate and your availability up to date, so that organizers contacting you have a realistic picture of what to expect.
Yes and in some ways, small retreats benefit more from a specialist platform than large ones. General booking sites favour venues with high review volume and competitive pricing ; our audience is specifically looking for intimate, intentional experiences, and is less price-sensitive than general travellers. Several of our most-enquired listings host 6–10 guests maximum. A Basic listing at €249 per year is a low-risk way to test your visibility before deciding whether Premium is worth the investment.
Yes. Every venue is reviewed before publication. We look at the programme description, the device policy, and where available, third-party reviews on Google or Tripadvisor. We are not conducting on-site inspections, but we apply a consistent standard : the venue must have a genuine, enforced device-free element as part of its core offer, not a suggestion, not a policy that applies only to certain rooms. Venues that do not meet this standard are not listed, regardless of size, location, or marketing budget.
