Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle
Description
The Four Seasons Tented Camp sits at the junction of Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos, the Golden Triangle, reached by longboat across the Ruak River. Fifteen tents and one explorer’s lodge, no in-room television, and an all-inclusive model that includes meals, activities, spa treatments, and guided expeditions. The digital detox is built in rather than opted into.
The camp is structured around daily immersion: mornings with rescued elephants at the Ruak River, afternoons trekking into the Myanmar jungle or fishing with local families, evenings around an open fire. The landscape architect Bill Bensley designed the camp with teak, thatch, and Thai textiles in a way that feels both luxurious and authentically embedded. With just 16 units, there is an atmosphere of intimacy that a larger property could not replicate.
